My guide book referred to Györ as an industrial wasteland. So I was surprised to find a charming town square which used to serve as a marketplace in the Middle Ages. The magnificent Jesuit Church was built in 1641 with white stucco side chapels and swimming ceiling frescoes added in the 17th and 18th respectively.
