The Goth in me

Gothic architecture rules. Well, not all the time. See the juxtaposition of a gothic church next to the - ahemmm - functional Zizkov Tower. The tower was originally planned by the Communists during their occupation of Prague. Let's just say it wasn't designed to cater to the aesthetic sensibilities of the artfully-minded. My Prague travel guide quips, "Locals may have had to line up for bread but damn, they were going to get good cell phone reception!!"
