This morning, Julia and I checked out surely what has to be one of the weirdest galleries I've ever encountered: the Museum of Communism focuses on the totalitarian regime from the February coup in 1948 to its rapid collapse during the Velvet Revolution in November 1989. The theme of the Museum is "Communism - the Dream, the Reality, and the Nightmare" and what a nightmare it turned out to be! Inside are reconstitutions of a historical schoolroom, an Interrogation Room and video clips from their Time Machine. The propaganda machine was indeed well-oiled.
How ironic that the Museum of Communism shares a courtyard with none other than the McDonald's Golden Arches!! :^}
