Religion in architecture

Of course religion is everywhere. That's what you get when modern society reaches back centuries through architecture. How intriguing to imagine that these buildings have seen the rise and fall of royalty, regimes and yes, religions. Fascinating to think that through it all, they weathered the storms and many of them will live on long after we've said farewell.

Having said that, it would be a mistake to think of architecture as a humourless discipline. See above, I rest my case. Cockadoodle-dooooooooo!!

  1. I love religion...I love the gurgling sounds it makes when it's dying and the cool "dinosaur" objects it leaves in its wake.
